Notice Required – We would like a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice when ordering wedding cakes and 2 weeks for other celebration cakes. However, as much notice as you can give is gratefully appreciated.  Depending on our schedule, we may be able to accept orders at shorter notice so please check in store or give us a call.

Allergen Advice – Our cakes are not usually produced in a gluten, nut or diary free environment, therefore our products may contain Gluten (Wheat Flour), Dairy Products (Eggs, Cream and Milk), and Nuts (Peanuts, Hazelnuts and Almonds).

However, should you wish to order a cake without any of the above ingredients we have teamed up with The Goodness Food Company so that we can offer the same bespoke cake decorating service for those customers with special dietary needs. We now offer gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, egg free & vegan friendly cakes.

Terms of Payment To place an order a minimum 50% deposit is required. All payments must be received in full before your cake can be collected or delivered. Fully refundable deposits are available for cake stands and knives and will be reimbursed with the prompt return of the equipment.

Cancellation Policy – If you cancel your order for any reason up to fourteen (14) days before the date of your event, you shall receive a refund of 25% of the total cost. Monies paid will be refunded by business cheque within twenty one (21) working days.

If your order is cancelled less than fourteen (14) days from the designated event date, your deposit is non-refundable. However, if you wish to change the date of your order and our schedule allows it, we will not charge an administration fee.

Collection/Delivery – Delivery within 15 miles of the store is free for wedding cakes. Any additional mileage is charged at 50 pence per mile each way. Delivery charges for other celebration cakes and destinations are available on request but is dependent on drivers availability.

If you choose delivery, we will liaise with the venue/wedding planner regarding timings and allow 30 minutes for set-up. After this time we reserve the right to leave your cake with the venue, enabling us to proceed to our next client’s destination.

All cakes can be collected from our store. Please note that if the cake is collected, the full responsibility for the safety of the cake is with the client and not Couture Cakes by Kosta. We will not be responsible for any damage to the cake that may occur after it has left our store. We strongly recommend that you purchase wedding insurance to cover yourselves for this possible mishap.

Our Cakes – All sponge cakes will need to be stored in a cool dry place or refrigerated. We recommend that our cakes are consumed within 72 hours for maximum enjoyment.

The use of non-edible materials for cake decoration is used in some of our cake designs. Please note that materials such as toothpicks, dowels and sugar flower wires must be removed from your cake before serving, as they may cause a choking hazard. Couture Cakes by Kosta accepts no responsibility for any physical harm that may arise from their use.
